growth

As much as I've complained about the buckets of rain that we've

received throughout the past month,

I really can't complain about how beautiful the outdoors are looking these days.

oh, and

my Christmas gift finally bloomed this week,

and my kitchen smells like a dream.

In other exciting news,

the garden is completely weed free and ready for planting.

Any suggestions for something amazing that we must have in our spring garden

this year would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

We love to fill our garden with a lot of herbs... the uses with herbs are endless and they just seem to brighten up everything I cook with. I am so envious that you are gardening right now! We are bracing ourselves for what appears to be a mini little blizzard coming our way!

Corey Ann,

Herbs are wonderful but be aware that some are VERY invasive (mint for one). Lavender is wonderful. I love bee balm. An added benefit is it attracts humming birds and butterflies.
My paper whites are in bloom this week too!

You have no idea how much I want to scream right now. We just got three inches of snow.
I'm getting ready to force some paper whites, just to help me pretend that spring is here.

these photos make me long for spring. here in TN, we typically don't receive a lot of snow, but this winter has been much different. we had about 7 inches last week, which is unheard of compared to the usual slight flurries we get. it was pretty (and fun) at first. now, i'd kind of like to have sunshine and flowers again. isn't that just the way it goes?
