The time has come for a big announcement... I have been wanting to do this for quite some time now, but needed the right opportunity... Now, with Brooklyn's first birthday upon us,(16 days and counting...), I figured there was no better time!  As of next week, our baby  is officially going to be a cloth diapered boy!  There are so many many different reasons that we have decided to make the switch, although here are a few that seemed to really make up our minds... 

The average disposable diaper takes 500 years to fully biodegrade.  And where do you think that all of these old, filthy diapers are rotting away?  In land fills and most likely in the ocean that we swim and fish in... Lovely right?

Disposable diapers contain traces of Dioxin, an extremely toxic by-product of the paper bleaching process.  It is a carcinogenic chemical, listed by the EPA as the most toxic of all cancer-linked chemicals.  It is banned in most countries, but not in the United States.

I am thrilled to have made this decision for our beautiful son and for our family. The diapers are in route to our house, and I will update you with more information as soon as the arrive!
