Painted Glass Ornaments

Here is a wonderful craft idea for an afternoon at home. We made a tray of these beautiful glass ornaments yesterday while we had some friends over after school. The instructions are simple, and the children,(and adults) loved making them! Purchase a tray of clear glass ornaments at a local craft store. I bought mine at Michael's Craft Store and paid $2.50 for a tray of six. You will also need an assortment of colored acrylic paints with a squeezable bottle. With your supplies in place, simply remove the silver cap and set it aside. Use whatever color paints that you would like by squirting a dollop of each, one at a time, into the ornament. Turn the ornament in your hands to disperse the paint throughout. The paint will leave a design that will then be filled in with the next color that you choose. The children also added glitter to some of the ornaments, shaking it throughout. Set out to dry overnight, and then re-insert the silver cap. Hang from your Christmas tree or use as a gift for a friend. Simple. Beauty. Enjoy!
