Thrift Store Thrills

This morning I awoke with an uncanny urge to go thrift store shopping.  Boy, am I glad that I followed that urge! I found such wonderful books for the boys, including a Dr. Suess book called, I Can Write; (which Sebastian just loved), a sweet story about a Santa Mouse, an old Elementaray school text book and the pie'ce de r'esistance... A scratch and sniff Christmas book! So neat! I also found a Snoopy waffle maker... More on that tomorrow morning! Horray for one persons trash being another persons treasure. Lucky us.

The Sweet Smell of Christmas was my favorite holiday book as a child. I still remember the scratch and sniff of apple pie and the orange. You know, you can make your own scratch and sniff stickers. It would be fun to create your own (with the kids) holiday scratch and sniff book!

Dude, I have that scratch and sniff Christmas book. We've had it since before I can remember, and my mom and I still read it every year when I come home.

My kids were given the scratch and sniff Christmas book several years ago from their Auntie, and it became a quick favorite. I too have the urge to go thrift shopping.
