Nana's Thimbles

I found these thimbles in a drawer of my Nana's sewing machine. I love them. I use them whenever I can. I love to imagine her delicate fingers being within their cool metal protection. I am sure that she wore them while making some of my Halloween costumes, baby doll clothes, and sundresses. I had them out the other day while I was sewing and Sebastian decided to slip them onto his little fingers. It reminded me of the way I use to top my fingers with black olives.... I loved that.

They are lovely momentoes for you. I think I still have my Mother's somewhere tucked away.

We used to do the olives on every finger, also. I suppose everyone does.

Have a cuddly warm eve. TTFN ~Marydon
