The Making Of A Monster Truck

Last  January, Anthony and I took Sebastian to Monster Jam as it was visiting San Diego. (Oh, the things we do for our children...) Needless to say, he loved every deafeningly loud minute of it and soon, Monster Truck mania began in the Villicana household! Sebastian decided that his heart was set on being his most favorite Monster Truck, Air Force for Halloween this year. Anthony and I went to Home Depot yesterday while Sebastian was at school to gather the materials to begin making his costume. (Side note... My husband Anthony is incredibly talented and artistic... I only wish that he had more time to tap into his creativity a bit.) This is entirely Papa's project, his vision, his execution... Day one of the costume construction went really well. Sebastian is super duper excited about the progress. (So are Papa and I!) I will continue to post updates of what the costume is looking like as it evolves into the ultimate Monster Truck costume!

He began with an old box that we had in the garage.

First round of spray paint.

Installing the working headlights!

Dry time.

What an awesome costume this is going to be for you sweet little guy. You weren't joking when you said Anthony was artistic, very nice job!!! Can't wait to see the finished project and the huge smile on your little man's face that will accompany his super cool costume.
