Canvas Cuteness

Here is yet another idea that had been floating around in my head for quite sometime and has finally come to fruition... Covered canvas's with my little ones on them. They have been hung in the boys room for a few weeks now and I have grown quite fond of them. If you happen to like them as well, you are more than welcome to make some of your own.

Here is what you will need.
Plain canvas, any size will do.
An assortment of scrapbook paper in a variety of correlating colors and patterns.
Modge Podge.
A paint brush.
A photograph of the child or person you are going to place onto the canvas... I used a 5 by 7 inch print, although again, any size will do.

Here is what you should do.
Cut and arrange the scrapbook paper into the pattern that you are going to use prior to adhering it to the canvas.

Coat the entire canvas with a layer of Modge Podge. Adhere the paper to the canvas, building up the layers of paper as you go...(Like a Modge Podge sandwich... Paper, MP,paper, MP...)

Once you have a design that you are pleased with, cut the image of the child or person from the photograph so that there is no background remaining, only the silhouette of the person.

Place photograph onto the papered canvas and paint over the photograph with another layer of Mod Podge.

Wait for the canvas to dry.

Affix any decorations to the surface of the canvas that you might want. (Buttons, eyelets,etc..)

Hang and enjoy!
