Stitching Stars...

A sneak peek at what my little ones will be dawning this Independence Day, as long as my hands don't give up on me tonight...

Pretty Kitty

After one too many close calls with Miss. Bella sneaking out the back door, I decided that I should have a collar on her in case the day came when she actually went away... I was not thrilled about the prospect of a kitty collar, although once I received this in the mail, I was pleased as punch! I love the hand embroidered, crushed velvet collar itself, but the crochet flower is divine!

Taco Bowls

If you had been at our house for dinner last night, here is what you would have been served... Taco bowls... So, so yummy and perfect for little hands that can't quite hold a taco shell yet, but little mouths that love all the taco goodness!

I served it up as follows... Bottom layer was Mexican rice, followed by crunched up white corn taco shell... Then I added a scoop of the seasoned ground turkey, shredded cheese, lettuce, avocado, tomato and a dollop of sour cream! Mix it all together and you have a great big bowl of yum! Enjoy... We most certainly did!

A Shower...

I have the honor of planning my dear friend Lauren's baby shower this fall... Already, I am thinking of what I might do to completely surround her in all things beautiful... These pictures are helping...

At Home #6

When we moved into this house four years ago, my husband did not drink coffee... There was no early morning, flavored creamer ritual... There was no favorite monster mug, that he would insist on drinking from each and every morning. But now there is, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Happy Sunday

At Home #5

Many a morning, Sebastian will rise from his bed and quietly ascend into our bedroom... Our computer rests in an alcove of the room, where until the rest of his family are awake and functioning, he sits quietly to play a game or two... He cozies in... He finds the bookmark bar where each of his fond websites remain, and he starts his day... Most mornings, I can hear a slight rustling and adjusting, followed by the faint sounds of Olivia or Wubbzy's voices. This is often times where he starts his day, while Momma and Papa slowly awaken to join him. Good Morning Honey...

Jackpot

Look at what I happened upon this evening... I went right ahead and filled my shopping cart to the brim with all sorts of lovely things!  If you are a huge fan of all things Martha, much as I am, then you will be thrilled!

Optimism

Two pluses to having your husband sell your kitchen table two months premature to your move...

Three meals a day at a freshly painted, child sized picnic table, indoors...

And much more room to Wheely Bug.

Tye-Dyed Afternoon

I can now check this off of my infinite to-do list...

Spend an afternoon with Lyn, laughing and tye-dying a variety of different things; including children's clothing and matching beach blankets...

Love that girl... Love these items too!

Happy Papa's Day

I am loving this album right now... You must hear it...

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow...

"Don't waste your effort worrying about what you have not done.
Spend your time working on what you now can do.
It's amazing how much you can accomplish when your heart is in it.
Drop the doubts, self-criticisms, and anxieties, and positively put your heart into what you're doing.
Enjoy the delicious feeling of making real progress based on your own focused efforts.
Have fun watching yourself accomplish as you complete each task.
Taking effective, meaningful action will put you in a positive frame of mind.
And that will open the door to many great new possibilities.
Go beyond wondering about it, or thinking it through, or planning for it.
Just go ahead and get it done.
Choose your destiny and delight in the fulfilling effort that makes it happen.
You can do it, and now is when."

- Ralph Marston

At Home #3

Every morning...
Two little boys...
Waiting for their Papa's truck to round the corner and disappear down the street...
Not without a final wave...
One last good-bye!
Two little faces pressed against a bedroom window...
Hearts on fire...
Two little voices projecting wishes for a good day...
"Bye Papa...Have a good day...Bye Papa..."
Every morning...
Forever, a picture in my mind...

Before Boxes

Packing up Brooklyn's room served to be a bit harder than I had predicted that it would be... His room was one of my favorite spaces in our little house... I lovingly hand selected the bobbles that decorated his surroundings... I couldn't help but question myself... Had it really been nearly two years ago that I hung those curtain rods and gave his mobile it's first whirl? I suppose that it has been... Time sure does seem to fly while you are having the time of your life...
